{a sprinkling of christmas}

Red details upon my hearth. Oh how I love it.

I had to be innovative this year with Christmas card space. Might have to be tradition now.

A lightly frosted wreath from the beautiful snow. Puts a smile on my face every time.

Our cheery angel atop the tree. What graces your highest bow?

My favorite. The nativity I painted a few Christmas's ago. The castings are the same as the ones I grew up with. I just love the detail.

This would be what happens when you attempt a picture while facing the snow flurry. Attractive. Yes I know.

Let it snow!

Bossy Pants' crowning glory. He was so very proud of his gingerbread house.

Did the finishing touches this morning. Hope the little sisters like them. {bad pictures}

Merry Christmas!

Oh yes. And for those of you who asked, here is the frosting recipe. Simple Simple.

3/4 C. sifted powdered sugar

1 Tbl butter {softened, not melted}

1 Tbl milk

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/4 tsp lemon juice

Combine all ingredients. Beat until smooth.

{Yields 1/3 cup}

OH, ASHLEY, I WISH WE LIVED CLOSER TOGETHER! WE'D HAVE SO MUCH FUN CRAFTING TOGETHER! I LOVE THE SHIRTS YOU MADE FOR YOUR SISSY'S, AND YOU MAY HAVE AN ARTIST ON YOUR HANDS WITH GINGERBREAD HOUSE BOY--IT ROCKS! ANY YOUR NATIVITY? GORGEOUS! IS YOUR "HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS" SIGN PERMANENT?

LORI said...

OKAY, SO I CAN'T SPELL...AND YOUR NATIVITY...

The Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas sign is vinyl. I will have to peel it off after the holidays and maybe make myself a permanent one to hang.
Yes, I think Gage is an artist in the making for sure.
And I know...I wish we lived closer. I need someone to draw inspiration from! :)

Beautiful decorations, Ashley.

Now did you paint the words on your wall yourself or is it a stcker kind of thing? I really like it. I may have to do something like that at my house next year.

We have a silver angel in flowing robes at the top of our tree.

Merry Christmas!
