we really should

i have a million things to do today.
there are a few things i would like to do.
everything else involves cleaning.
not so much something i want to do, but really really need to do.
i feel like it's just never done.
i guess that's because it's not.
it still amazes me the messes that can be created by two little boys.
i have to give them credit-they are good at what they do.
they keep me busy.

when i try to think of ways to maintain my sanity,
the train of thought usually goes in this direction:

we really should spend more time outside.
which then turns into...
we really should plant some grass in our backyard.
we really should finish the fence.
we really should move the swing set.
we really should clean the dogs' yard.
we really should plant some shade trees.
we really should clean under the porch.
we really should.....blah blah blah.

today i think what we really should do is head outside with our towels, sunscreen and a pitcher of strawberry kool-aid....and wing it from there.

you really should join us.

I totally agree...Koolaid and having a relaxing moment or moments outside with the family is what it is all about!!

That really does sound like a good idea!

I remember when one of my kids was in 1st grade and filled out an "About Me" page with sentences to finish. Under "My mom likes to ..." my child wrote "clean the house."

Better to be remembered for the Kool-aid and a blanket in the sun!
