The Gage Man!

Well Gage has had a very busy week and it looks like the rest of the week with follow suit! Last Wednesday he had a visit to his Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor who told us he will definitely need the tubes again as well as having his adenoids removed, he played his little heart out at the lake for 6 days, contracted an all-over rash, had a visit to Dr. B today to find out the cause (we also discovered that he has passed up the 30 lb mark..wow!), played at the park, did some much needed grocery shopping with mom and is currently SLEEPING! Oh the beauty of a sleeping child! Now we are gearing up to take him in for his surgery tomorrow morning bright and early! I'm so grateful to the doctor's office who made him a priority so that we could have this all done before the baby is born! But I am definitely dreading tomorrow morning. It was so sad the last time when they took him from me and into the surgery room! He was reaching for me BAWLING his eyes out and I knew they were going to have to cover his face with one of those awful masks to put him under....it just breaks my heart! I was planning on never having to do that again! But here we are! I am praying this will the be the LAST time! On a happier note, this week also brings about a BIG event in our little guy's life...He will be turning TWO!!! I can't believe how the time has flown by! I have to wonder when he did all this growing because I don't really remember thinking one day...wow Gage is getting so big! It's just all a blur...he grew right in front of my eyes and I didn't even realize it! I can't even begin to explain what a blessing he has been in our home! He is a Mama's boy through and through...and though I do complain sometimes and wish that he would let someone else put him to bed, tote him around, get him dressed or change his diaper....I am THRILLED to know that my little boy must love me like I love him! He has the sweetest spirit...I always want to say "little spirit" but that is a HUGE understatement...it's ENORMOUS! There is such a change in our home when he is here brightening it up! It blows me away that such a little person can have such a large effect on me, on Matt and on so many other people! I realize that I'm getting all mushy about this so I will end with saying that I LOVE GAGE!!! And I'm so eternally grateful that he is my son! I can't wait to party down with him on his big day!

I hope all goes well with his tubes! I hate leaving Danika with a sitter...let alone be taken in for surgery! That must be torture on the heart strings! I hope everything goes well for him...and for you! Just remember to stay as calm as possible *easier said then done* cause they feel your anxiety!
