{freezer paper fun!}

I saw a tutorial on these shirts a few months ago and decided to try it out for myself! I have done a few and think they are so much fun! Here is one I did today...which I really LOVE!

They are so easy and lots of fun! Here's a quick explanation of how they are done.

What you need:

Iron
Freezer Paper
Plain Cotton Shirt
Fabric Paint
Paint Brush
Xacto Knife

First: Draw your design on the non-shiny side of the freezer paper. Then using an Xacto knife, cut out the design so that the freezer paper can act as a stencil.

Second: Iron freezer paper to shirt, shiny side down. You will also want to iron a piece of freezer paper to the inside of the shirt to avoid bleeding through the fabric.

Third: Use your paint brush and fabric paint to paint inside the stencil. Let this dry.

Fourth: After letting paint dry {you can use a blow dryer on the cool setting to speed up the process} gently peel back the freezer paper.

And there you have it! Be creative! You can put pretty much any design you'd like on these shirts. Or you could expand and do other garments!
