{airing my dirty laundry::which is actually clean}

Okay. I think it is about time for a healthy dose of self-inflicted embarrassment slash humbling.

So here I go.

Do you know what I spent my night doing? My late, late...into the wee hours of the morning "night".

Well first off I think I will take a page from my dear bosom friend, Anne, and tell you what I imagine I was doing.

I started off my evening with a nice relaxing bubble bath. Complete with sleeping children, candles, chocolates and sparkling cider. After soaking my aching muscles and satisfying my cocoa cravings, I slipped into an oh-so-cozy robe and cuddled up next to the fireplace where I began reading a gripping novel. I became so enthralled with the book's tantalizing plot that I could not make myself put it down. Slowly I drifted into a warm and peaceful slumber.

Okay that is as far as my imagination is going to take me right now.

I guess that means it's time for the truth.

The dirty, embarrassing, monstrosity of Tide smelling TRUTH.

I was doing this...

Folding laundry.

Laundry, laundry and more laundry. I honestly considered just crawling atop the ridiculous pile and going to sleep. I am SO bad.

I have totally been a slacker for the past, oh I don't know, three days or so. Eek. The laundry gets washed and then makes it just about as far as my bed.

I DESPISE folding laundry. I always seem to make an excuse for why I don't have time to fold it right away. And then a few hours later. And in this case...the next day and so on.

Shame on me!

And I would be a big fat liar if I said this has not happened before.

I SO need to do better.

So my goal for the month...
FOLD THE GOSH DARNED LAUNDRY ALREADY!!!

Ahhh...the dreaded laundry! I must agree to folding it just stinks, actually every aspect of it. In 2009 I vowed to stay on top of it, and man is it hard & a struggle for me sometimes, but it feels so much better! :o) I hope the rest of the month you stay on top of the folding.

LOL, laundry seems to be everybody's dirty little demon. A friend of mine has two days set aside that she does laundry and she says she NEVER starts it unless she KNOWS she can finish it. Seems to work for her, maybe it will help you. Me however, I need a lot of work and am STILL working on that, hahah! Good luck with your challenge!

girl that is exactly how I am. You don't have to do the laundry right away. Just as long as it gets done!

YES!! I am not alone! except my laundry sits in the clean basket and sometimes weeks go by before it gets folded. Every morning I Make my bed and throw the pile of clean laundry on it to be folded everynight Jake throws the clean pile back on the floor to not be folded!

Woohoo...gotta love laundry! Ummm...lets see I dont think I ever get my laundry finished...EVER...as soon as I think I am finished there is another load to be started like the same evening that I thought I was just finishing up the laundry!!!

Speaking of that...there is laundry to be done this evening!

I've learned to enjoy folding laundry. I save my latest Netflix movies, then sit and watch them while I fold Dylan's and my laundry on TV trays. (Sarah and Jacob fold their own.) I'm so busy all the time, I can never justify just sitting and watching a movie, but folding laundry is a legitimate excuse to sit still for awhile and enjoy a movie a couple of times each week!

I don't mind folding the laundry. It's the putting away part that I loathe!

WE CONSIDER IT A SUCCESSFUL WEEK IF EVERYONE HAS CLEAN UNDIES EVERY DAY. WE AIM LOW.

Confession: On Friday nights after doing laundry I shove it in the closet and ignore it until Friday night.

I'm the same way! I have a mountain of clean clothes sitting in a basket on the floor, they've been sitting there for about 2 weeks now! The mountain just keeps getting taller and taller!
