Good and Bad I Suppose

Gage is still in recovery from his ear infection he started almost 2 weeks ago! We took him back to the doctor earlier in the week and he confirmed that we most certainly will be needing to have tubes put in his ears again! Yuck! I don't enjoy the thought of him going through that again, but I can't say I like him getting ear infections every other week either! So this is good and bad news for us. He's had a tough week! Dr. B gave us a prescription for a second antibiotic which seems to already be helping a lot. He went for nearly 48 hours without his temperature dropping below 100 (and that was on a 4 hour Tylenol routine!) It got as high as 103.5! I'm glad to see that he is getting better now! It's so hard to watch your little kids be sick and feel like there's nothing more you can do for them to make them more comfortable! He is a tough little cookie though and bares it all very well! Hopefully this will be the last time for the tubes! We go to see the ear, nose and throat doctor in about a week and they'll schedule the procedure from there! I'm really hoping they can fit him in before the baby is born...I guess we will see. Well that is enough of my rambling on that subject! Have a great Memorial Day weekend...and for you northern folk...enjoy the wintry weather! ha ha

Aren't you a northern folk too?:) The weather is crazy and I feel so sorry for your poor little guy, that is so sad! You'll have to explain to me how the tubes work, I thought that when they get them in they stay in?? Just curious, I always worried about that with my boys! I hope it gets better though before your baby comes!
