{beautifying}

well the weather is not exactly warm today. but it's not fer-reezing either. that could only mean one thing...

yard work.

and i am so excited! we'll be setting fence posts and hopefully beautifying porches.

i painted these a few days ago and can't wait to fill them with lovely blossoms. they didn't entirely turn out as i had hoped. the green one may have gone a little too far on the frankensteinish edge for me. but i am happy to have them just the same.

i can't wait for the planting to begin.

what are you doing this weekend?

Good grief Ashley, you are one talented girl! Those pots are beautiful! That sounds fun to be out doing yard work. I have realized that pulling weeds is something that really hits my spot and so I can only imagine a garden would make me even happier. Today I am baking a fantastic homemade chocolate cake in preparation to celebrate my beautiful little Katie girls 2nd birthday this afternoon. I also get to wrap the cutest little girl presents in pretty princess wrapping paper. Those kinds of things bring joy to my heart! It's a great weekend! I hope that yours is the same!

I'll be trying madly to accomplish all the things I meant to do but didn't get done during Spring Break!

Those are really cute! I'd love to have pots and planters on my porch but with the wind we get up here...they'd be gone in a heart beat!

REALLY CUTE FLOWER POTS, ASHLEY! I THINK YOU SHOULD MAKE SOME KITCHEN ONES FOR HERBS! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY THAT, MAYBE I CAN LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH YOU!

I'm hoping the weather here is decent enough on Saturday to get outside into the yard and start some Spring cleaning. But the forecast isn't good - beter for Sunday. :-) Bringing my daughter to an Easter egg hunt tomorrow morning- I hope it is at least dry for that!
