i think i expected not to be busy once Christmas was over. i was oh so very wrong on that assumption. i do feel like i'm at least scrambling on top of my to-do pile rather than ten feet under it. and i sometimes enjoy having something to keep me busy. not that two little boys isn't more than enough to keep one person busy. but you get what i'm trying to say right?
here is a little sneak peek at one of my projects. a quilt for my newest nephew, little ian. all the bright colors make me really really want spring to get here. oh please oh please come!
the little deer and the squirrels make me smile. aren't they sweet?
you also get to see another project--garrett's bed. matt built it last week and it is still waiting for me to do the finishing touches. he's sleeping on it none-the-less as his crib is already gone. did i mention he loves his big boy bed? well, he loves his big boy bed.
all these happy thoughts i've been having of springtime got me wanting to add a touch of spring to my etsy shop. go ahead and have a look at all the pretty things i have. just click here.
and boy oh boy i think there is a date with the husband on the horizon! i don't remember the last time we went on a date sans children. unless you count our camp-out on the living room floor last night, i mean this morning, after our boys gave us the boot from our bed. by 5:30 am when our heads hit the pillow i don't think we really cared that we were on the hard ground. besides it kind of reminded me of the newlywed days. we lived in that tiny fifth wheel trailer and most nights we would just make up a bed on the floor and fall asleep watching a movie. good memories. so all in all it was kind of romantic, in a very exhausted kind of way.
now excuse me, i think i'll go get prettied up for the hubby.
