handle with prayer

+++++

i'm not proud to say it but yesterday was one of those pull-my-hair-out kind of days. the three-year-old was rambunctious and sassy and to no fault of his own, the one-year-old was ultra sensitive and clingy.

sometimes i think there must be a handbook for this motherhood thing. while i try, patience is sometimes in short supply. it wasn't long after lunch that i was tired, grumpy and mostly just feeling sorry for myself.

it was right about that time i wound up next to my bed praying and praying until i found peace. i walked out of my room with a new lease on the day and what should i find?

a wonderfully messy bedroom holding my two boys and their favorite books.

i guess i needed a little attitude adjustment.

Ashley,
I have 5 children and luckily made it past the point of frustration many times, or obviously I would not have as many kids as I do. Remember Heavenly Father will not give us more than he thinks we can handle and when the storm blows over, you will have precious moments like these. Learn from both the storm and the calm!

I have more of those days than I care to count. It's hard to be a mom I tell you. It's just a good thing that we love our little friends. Without love I think that sometimes they would be in serious trouble! I do love them though and it's all worth it! They are the joy of my life and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. Good luck my dear! I hope you have a great day!

I really think I have to pray for patience a few times a day. I hate to admit that but I do. But, It worth it. and boys are just fun that way :)

If you think that room was messy boy howdy would you be appalled at my entire house!!
that was a good story- I need to be reminded that prayer is a good solution to everything. Even a grumpy attitude witch I find myself with a lot these days!
Thanks
